Indian Commuter’s Dream: Harley LiveWire S2 Del Mar Review

March 22, 2024

Having always admired Harleys from afar, the news of the LiveWire S2 Del Mar got my heart racing. While zipping down long highways is a dream, my daily commute through bustling Delhi traffic screams for a manageable electric motorcycle.

Then came the news of the LiveWire S2 Del Mar. Now, this electric Harley got my attention! The Electrek article mentioned its affordability compared to other Harley electric bikes, and that was music to my ears.

Here’s why I decided to reserve one:

  • City Friendly Commuter: Look, carving up mountain highways is a fantasy for most Indian riders. We deal with daily traffic jams in cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The S2 Del Mar seems perfect for that. A manageable size and electric power for zipping through traffic – that’s what I need!
  • Harley Heritage, Electric Future: Let’s be honest, there’s a certain charm to the Harley brand. But let’s also be kind to the environment, right? The S2 Del Mar seems to bridge that gap. Owning a piece of Harley history while riding towards a cleaner future – that’s a win-win.
  • Stylish Ride: Okay, I won’t lie, the design images look pretty sleek. We Indians appreciate a stylish ride, and the S2 Del Mar seems to have that in spades.

Of course, there are some concerns. Charging infrastructure in India is still developing, and range anxiety is a real thing. But hey, the electric vehicle revolution is picking up pace here. Hopefully, by the time the S2 Del Mar hits Indian roads, the charging network will be more robust.

Overall, the LiveWire S2 Del Mar feels like a dream come true – a Harley that fits my riding needs and complements a sustainable future. Here’s hoping it arrives in India soon, and I can finally experience that electric Harley magic!
